Each day one country as per the prayer calendar. It said, how 3000 Christian villages were wiped out. And Christian workers were mde to leave the country. <div><br></div><div>That's when dad sid, he knew of a professor who went to burma for teaching. Those days many people go there. He married Burmese lady nd had two sons. During the difficult time they left the country as such and escaped by boat. Not ships, mind you. Boats for several months, with such difficulty he arrived india nd them travelled with so much difficulty to reach Nazareth, his home town. This professor was rich person,he had a big house there, but had left all of it to work in burma. Now he was back. His 13 year old son, suddenly had a headache one day and died. Soon the professor also died. </div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Mom, dad lived next door to them. The burmese lady had Bible study every day. And mom used to attend that regularly. She learnt the truth and grew closer to God during that time. </div><div><br></div><div>The burmese lady gave generously to all the lay preachers who came to her for help. She used to ask one question to them. Are you tongues preacher or Jesus Christ preacher. If they answered the former she told her testimony and walked them to the knowing knowledge of truth. Her testimony is in another blog. </div><div><br></div><div>When she died she wrote in her will an amount to the missionary organised that her neighbor navaneethar worked for! </div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div>Nebeulahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17012982931385236452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1371575720587238587.post-90604488126643239032022-06-15T18:06:00.000-07:002022-06-15T18:06:16.338-07:00Warm hugs! I lost my chithi, mom's sister early this week. And there goes a chance of getting such a warm, comforting, loving embrace. The 3 sisters, left quite a vaccum in the family. The centrifugal magnetic force of the family, all gone now. With the family tree getting bulkier as it grows, it naturally detaches slowly. Can't help it! <div><br></div><div>But it was such an amazing time during prayer meeting when all the cousins rooted around the world, connect to share the learnings, nuggets, and memories of the sisters and their impact on each of our lives. </div><div><br></div><div>As we bounce back to our daily schedule, I can't help but think of how hard it is for the immediate family. To return to the empty room. To see her old saree, or chair she sits. Well, its a choice I know, to sulk-leading to sorrow- isolation and depression. Or to run to Father God, under his wings to get the embrace and the awesome assurance of eternal life, and also the security it brings of the immediate future. </div><div><br></div><div>Imagine being a chick and running as fast as you can to momma hen to get under her wings for safety! Oh what a privilege! Am on the run, you wanna race me? </div><div><br></div><div>He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge. <b>Psalms 91:4</b><br></div><div><div style=""><br></div><div style="">Hide me in the shadow of Your wings <b>Psalms 17:8</b></div><div style=""><b><br></b></div><div style="">The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.<b>Deuteronomy 33:27<br></b></div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><b><br></b></div><div style="">Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Preach the gospel. </div><div><br></div><div>We have received the baton. </div><div><br></div><div>God talks about Moses. My faithful servant. </div><div><br></div><div>John kedy story from Patrick uncle. </div><div><br></div><div>East islands. Cannibals. A young believer hears about them. Starts praying about it. Talks to his wife. They have a small baby. He hears the call from God. He doesn't think how he'll survive. </div><div><br></div><div>He prays day and night. He talks to the ship captains, who cross that island for their trade. They said, they are dangerous people, who often capture and kill people. We can't get near it, nor can we stop nearby. After much pleading they still refuse. </div><div><br></div><div>Undeterred, he sells all that he has. Builds a small boat, takes his family. New capritice island. </div><div>He had taken enough material to build a small shed in the beach. He had taken the baton. He needs to give the baton, <b>Jesus</b> to the people. </div><div><br></div><div>What happened next,. There is a </div><div>Strange fever in the island. Wife dies. He buries her next to the shed. Two days later, the child dies. He buries the baby. </div><div><br></div><div>The people around were hiding around the bushes. Watching him. They have the habit of eating flesh. Even the dead. He couldn't go into the shed. </div><div>He stands on his knees between both his buried wife and child. Lord you sent me to this people to tell the Gospel. </div><div>The people are waiting to eat him. </div><div>The boat is calling him, '<b>escape</b>. The only way is to go back.'</div><div>One morning, as he kneels, he gets up goes towards the boat. He breaks the engine into pieces. He destroys the boat. Now he walks to his shed. He recommits his life. He says, use me Lord, spend me. I have given you all I have. <br></div><div><br></div><div>Today we have his tomb there in the island, which says, </div><div>John kedy, when he came into island, we were all cannibals. </div><div>John Kedy,When he died, 100% of the population of the island are God's people. </div><div>Now they are all educated. Schools, factories, and all dressed. They had not a small cloth over their body when he saw them first. </div><div><br></div><div>Patrick uncle shared this story to 3 people during prayer time. And dad is passing onto us. </div><div><br></div><div>Every knee shall bow. Every tongue confess. This will happen. If we commit like this. If we commit. Like John kedy. Wife, child, a small shed. The waves breaking in. The cannibals just over the bush are dancing in a distance... And the sun sets, and John kedy again commits, his life, to use him, to spend him, to pass the Gospel baton. There were so many troubles and trials, and God helped him pass the baton to the cannibals. </div><div><br></div><div>Not a day or two, Patrick uncles desire was to preach the gospel. He has now passed the baton to us. Patrick uncle's prayer is saved in the bowls. It's not going waste.. It's not something impossible for him. He has stored it in bowls.. </div><div><br></div><div>Dad prayed for all those who hear the message this morning. We receive the baton. We receive and we are to run the relay race.... Are you ready? </div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div>Nebeulahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17012982931385236452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1371575720587238587.post-17982579484748875782021-06-16T17:51:00.001-07:002021-06-16T17:51:43.502-07:00Tribute to Patrick UncleThis is excerpt from Daddy's talk on Patrick uncle. <div>

He passed away suddenly due to massive heart attack on May 5, 2017 . He was 48. He leaves behind his wife and two teenage daughters.<br></p>
<p dir="ltr">1. Death was a common house topic. All must die one day. It was real and often talked about. <br>
2. Blessed is the one, who goes first.<br>
3. This is not our house. Heaven is our house. <br>
3.Assurance and trust in God that he'll take care of the family left behind. <br>
4. I am beloved, precious, and chosen by God. <br>
5. Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed," says the LORD, who has compassion on you. Isaiah 54:10<br>
6. Death is glorious. <br>
7. Life is futile. Anything can happen. Anytime. To anyone. <br>
8. God's timing is unique. All things happen together for good for those who are called according to his purpose. Near death experience due to accident and sickness earlier, but God protected and rescued. <br>
9. A burden, groan about pain and sinfulness of the world... To release to a better place. <br>
10. Holding lightly to people. <br>
11. True love , let's go. Not wish for them to get back, be in hospital again! <br>
12. God provides resources, are all around. Open your eyes to look. <br>
13. God prepares you. <br>
14. God cares. Just like a parent who thinks about child staying alone in hostel, away from home. How much more would he think about you! <br>
15. God takes away the guilt ( what ifs), guilt conscious, like how Paul is able to testify powerfully in Jerusalem. <br>
16. God takes care of finances. If an organization is careful to pay monthly, how much more God will plan and provide. <br>
17. The relationship with Christ, is real. While walking, talking, cooking is real. <br>
18. When the word of God richly dwells in you, he helps you bounce back quickly. <br>
19. Reflection. <br>
20. Move forward in faith. Not backward. He can't come back. He can't help. You are yet to finish the race. Finish well <br>
21. Living free, with No fear or distress. <br>
22. Accept he's not there. He won't come back. Heart accepts. <br>
23. Prepare yourself for death. And prepare others around you for death.<br>
24. God is love. He gave his only son as sacrifice. We don't need any extra proof about his love. He told. He did. So do not doubt his love. <br>
25. He is Almighty God. He is enough. He has everything with him. He will guide you. He will be your strength. He will carry you. <br>
Have faith. <br>
26. Devil can't push you down. We won't look back. Or sit and mourn. <br>
27. There will be challenges, but we have a God who is a very big God. <br>
28. <b>He is a good God. He never makes mistakes</b>. <br>
29. I may be small., but am stronger than an elephant, because of Jesus. His word in your heart strengthens you ahead. <br>
30. God is the richest person. He has everything. <br>
31. Think of God's goodness. His love and his faithfulness.. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Question to ask those in grief. <br>
<u>1.</u>What happened. <br>
<u>2.</u>How did you feel<br>
3. What was very difficult feeling. <br>
Lend a listening ear</p>
<p dir="ltr">How to help<br>
1. Check if you can provide basic need. Any immediate help <br>
2. Say you are not alone. We are with you. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Assurance of eternal life. <br>
Eternal life starts from the day you accept Christ. <br>
You, your children, spouse, parents, their health, future, protection, nothing is in our control. <br>
God has numbered my hair and also the hair on my loved ones. <br>
He never forsakes anyone who come to him. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Exercising your faith. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Uyir pirindhalum. <br>

She asked me, if I knew what was God's plan for marriage. Battered by Ephesians on 'Submission', I wasn't very sure. <div>She showed me 7 nuggets, blueprint of God's original design for marriage from Genesis 1-3 chapter. </div><div><br></div><div>1. <b>Companionship</b>. Genesis 2:20.</div><div>Husband and wife together (not alone) , as good companions all their lives. </div><div><br></div><div><i><u>Opposite</u></i>: Strangers, Incompatible, violent, suspicion. </div><div><br></div><div>2. <b>Helper suitable.</b> Gen 2:18</div><div>Both encouraging and uplifting each other. </div><div><br></div><div><i><u>Opposite</u></i>: Independent, unsuitable, abusive. </div><div><br></div><div>3.<b>Leave and cleave</b>. Gen 2:24</div><div>Leave their own parents - emotionally and be with the spouse. </div><div><br></div><div><i><u>Opposite</u></i>: Diffused, inclusive, Soul ties. </div><div><br></div><div>4. <b>One-flesh</b>. Gen 2:23</div><div>Be of oneness. </div><div><br></div><div><i><u>Opposite</u></i>: Platonic, Unfulfilled, defiled. </div><div><br></div><div>5. <b>Transparency. </b>Gen 2:25</div><div>Have nothing to hide. Be intimate and open to each other. </div><div><br></div><div><i><u>Opposite</u></i>: Guarded, private space, Defensive</div><div><br></div><div>6. <b>Obedience to God </b>Gen 3:11</div><div>Love, obey, trust and follow God's word together. </div><div><br></div><div><u style="font-style: italic;"><i>Opposite</i>: </u>Rebellion against God, Worldly pursuit, spiritual adultery</div><div><br></div><div>7. <b>Fellowship with God</b>. Gen 3:8</div><div>Commune with God together, enjoying in his presence! </div><div><br></div><div><i><u>Opposite</u></i>: No growth, stunted, Self sufficient, ungodliness. </div><div><br></div><div>She then quoted, the devil comes to steal, kill and destroy, John 10,10.He doesn't want God's plan for your marriage to be fulfilled. </div><div><br></div><div>Hence, we become strangers, violent, defensive, unfulfilled, independent, abusive<br></div><div><br></div><div>Sin has marred the design God had planned. Devil plays havoc, if we give a foothold. So stand firm, resisting in faith. Wear your armor. Be on Guard. Submit to God. Resist the devil and he'll flee! </div><div><br></div><div>She asked me to pray for God's original Design in my life. To pray over my marriage till I see all 7 points in my marriage. This I learnt again in MFL! Praise God. </div><div><br></div><div>Do you see where you are lagging in your marriage. Will you pray for God's restoration on your marriage? One that's so beautiful, free and fulfilling? </div><div><br></div>Nebeulahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17012982931385236452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1371575720587238587.post-12596028910408240842021-05-07T17:40:00.001-07:002021-05-07T17:45:17.077-07:00Living and the dead<div>Dad was sharing this last night. </div><div>In the wilderness, there is an incident when Moses tells Aaron the priest to make atonement for the people and to take incense from the altar, and run into the camp, carrying the censer.</div><div>So Aaron did as Moses said, and ran into the midst of the assembly. The plague had already started among the people, but Aaron offered the incense and made atonement for them.</div><div>Numbers 16:47 NIV</div><div>He stood between the living and the dead, and the plague stopped.</div><div><br></div><div>Jesus is the atonement. Fortress in India. Budda kotai, kali kotai, ramar kotai, tirupati kotai, and that we like Joshua and the Israelites need to walk around these with fervor till it breaks down. And that there will be a day when it will all come tumbling down and nobody will even remember the name of these forts. </div><div><br></div><div>He also said we should never get satisfied with our life and stop praying around these fortresses. He talked about his experience 30 years back, when while sleeping at night he saw a kali devil at his feet begging not to pray and drive them out. It was pleading not to drive them out. when dad shouted the name of Jesus, it jumped and ran away, he still remembers the dogs barking in that area when it ran away. </div><div><br></div><div>This incident gave him a confidence that ofcource we have the God given authority and the devil in fact trembles when we pray. This encourages him to pray more. </div><div><br></div><div>He also said that this work of praying around the fort is not work of 1 man, but a call for all of us, our future generation, till all the idol forts come tumbling down. The work is not done.</div><div><br></div><div>He also remembered Emil , Patrick uncle, Kamalesan uncle who started and encouraged this years back and that though they are not here, they are still praying and joining with us in this prayer.</div>Nebeulahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17012982931385236452noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1371575720587238587.post-56180163146131565592020-12-28T04:03:00.001-08:002020-12-28T04:03:05.739-08:00Father in HeavenDad was saying that he says the Lord's Prayer maybe 50 times a day. FIFTY? That seemed crazy. <div>I looked at him quizzicaly. My husband says that often, that I thought he was saying it without meaning. Wouldn't monotonous repetitive stuff make it go awry? </div><div><br></div><div>Dad said, the first thing he says when he gets up from sleep is ' paramandalil irukum engal pidhavae'. He pauses there for some time, imagining God in Heaven his throne, the Son our High Priest and the Holy Spirit. I guess that's his throne room experience. What excited me was the number of times he goes there throughout the day. He said, when you see me doing nothing, I am most probably saying it in my mind. I never stay idle, for if I let my mind wander devil will get a foothold. </div><div><br></div><div>Now that's something. Throne room, not only during morning time, but throughout the day, whenever you get some time, you sneek into the throne room! To bask in His presence for that's actually where you belong. </div><div><br></div><div>Dad said, I am already in heaven..though I am still here. </div><div><br></div><div>Bet dad's mind is filled with heaven that nothing on earth shakes him. Lol </div>Nebeulahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17012982931385236452noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1371575720587238587.post-49550935369533641362020-10-23T21:28:00.001-07:002020-10-23T21:28:39.285-07:00God's mercies -new every morning! <p dir="ltr">My husband had an accident last Friday. A motorbike guy was looking elsewhere and hit head on, on a turning. My guy usually rides slow. He saw him coming straight and was shouting to get his attention but in a fraction of second, he was hit and fell on the road. God miraculously saved him from other vehicles on that busy small road in tambaram. <br>
Thank God he had his helmet on and as he fell he had hit the iron railway railing on his left shoulder. By God's amazing grace, though he fell, he had no broken bones. He came home with a wound bulging from his shoulder socket . The size of a 🍅tomato. It was huge and oozing blood. He checked with the doctor next day as the swelling was big and was painful. But by God's grace the wound healed and the swelling went away. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Few days later, our AC stopped functioning properly. We called the ac mechanic, but he had not yet<u> </u>turned up. So my husband cleaned the vent , blower and the whole room, fan, above the cupboards etc. He had been on the ladder and whn he climbed down he slipped and fell! He hit the cupboard with<u> </u>the full size mirror and it broke. I would have not known of him falling unless with the proof of the mirror crack. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Falling from the ladder is no simple thing. I know that for a fact. (Peter Rabbit influence) it was only God's hands that had held him when he fell from the height. I know of fateful accidents of friends and family of slipping and falling, leading to paralysis, loss of mobility, hospitalisation and even death! </p>
<p dir="ltr">Thanking God for his mercies and love. Though we don't deserve it God is so loving, faithful and compassionate. <br>

I was not in a hurry. But 2 of my girls were up.. and I know they'll be chattering for food immediately. My eldest was in bed, on the edge, in order to wake her up.. and get Lilybel some time to play, and especially off my hands so that I can get breakfast ready, I put Lilybel next to Amy. I stretched and must have miss calculated her weight, when I placed her slowly down, that I felt a sharp pain on my back. Yickes. I couldn't move.. I wriggled, and I was able to stand. <br />
The moment I put her down, she cried, and wanted me to carry her, so I had to stretch with the pain, and that's when I realised I couldn't lift her weight. My wee baby has grown!<br />
<br />
That was it! After that I couldn't sit, bend down or stand. Bending down to pick Lilybel is so common, that I found it so hard for every small thing. Sitting down, was even worse.. Whichever position I sat, I had a shooting pain. I remembered by brother, who had suffered from back pain earlier. It was so terrible. I couldn't even lie down to feed the baby. Standing was much better. With 3 kids around, bending over to lift toys, books, or a chair was inevitable.<br />
<br />
I realised, how thankful, I ought to be for the grace God had given me every single day. To walk, to sit, to lie down, to roll over, to bend over, to turn around without a second thought is grace! Pure grace of God. God has healed me now. I can move around much better.. but I do feel the piercing pain.. and I know, what I should be doing. Thanking God for all that he had done! Never will I look down at anyone complaining about pain!Nebeulahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17012982931385236452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1371575720587238587.post-22183018831749233332020-06-25T11:15:00.001-07:002020-06-25T22:33:04.839-07:00Just in time<div dir="ltr">
Corrie ten Boom and her sister Betsie were middle-aged Christian women in Holland when World War II erupted. They resolved to conceal fleeing Jews from the Nazis. They rescued many. But they were eventually arrested and taken to Ravensbrück concentration camp. Betsie died there. Corrie miraculously survived to bear witness to the way in which God can save, heal and forgive.</div>

When asked how to prepare for persecution, she used to tell this story about her childhood: </div>
<div dir="ltr">
‘When I was a little girl, I went to my father and said, “Daddy, I was afraid that I will never be strong enough to be a martyr for Jesus Christ.” “Tell me,” said father, “When you take a train trip to Amsterdam, when do I give you the money for the ticket? Three weeks before?” “No, Daddy, you give me the money for the ticket <i>just before </i>we get on the train.” “That is right,” my father said, “And so it is with God’s strength. Our Father in heaven knows when you will need the strength to be a martyr for Jesus Christ. He will supply <i>all you need</i> <i>just in time</i>.”’</div>

My guy let me fly one during our honeymoon in Cochin.. oh what a day it was!!</p>
<p dir="ltr">Last week Amy was jumping up and down, when a small paper flew. She then experimented with a plastic cover. It flew too.. thanks to fan. Then she tied a thread to the cover and let it fly. Seeing it I thought why not. I asked my guy...there was no response. So I checked some YouTube videos... Looked pretty simple. But didn't have the kuchi to do it. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Asked selvi akka to bring 2. She got a bunch. And today we tried it. It was easy to make. My guy wasn't sure I tied it properly. He said this won't fly. So we took it upstairs. The first one went down and fell into the neighboring bushes. I was disappointed. To try the next one or not... Seeing my girls Glee, I decided to give a last try. </p>
<p dir="ltr">The second one flew. My guy flew it beautifully.. he himself was surprised how strong it was. It crossed the road and into the next neighbor coconut tree.. it flew though stuck but my husband rescued after nearly 30 mins. We played for another 1 hr. </p>
<p dir="ltr">So thankful to God for the gentle breeze and the air we breathe! </p>

This was way before, I got married.. So it must be more than a decade... I don't remember much though, but remember the theme in which it was set.<br />
<br />
Micah 6:8 And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God. There were lot of hangings and pamphlets by this theme. As the program ended, the music was mesmerising..it kept on and on.. that I asked my brother.. what it was.. he said, its run continuously, it gets imprinted in the heart..That was weird, but I liked the music.. It was something about, let the things that break the heart of God, break yours<br />
<br />
I remembered a lil and thought will do a search if i can find that song again.. It led me to check few other things.. check it out..<br />

and this probably is the song that was played there..<br />

<br />
Let your heart be broken for a world in need:<br />
Feed the mouths that hunger, soothe the wounds that bleed,<br />
Give the cup of water and the loaf of bread<br />
Be the hands of Jesus, serving in His stead.<br />
<br />
Here on earth applying principles of love,<br />
Visible expression – God still rules above<br />
Living illustration of the Living Word<br />
To the minds of all who’ve Never seen or heard.<br />
<br />
Blest to be a blessing privileged to care,<br />
Challenged by the need apparent everywhere.<br />
Where mankind is wanting, fill the vacant place.<br />
Be the means through which the Lord reveals His grace.<br />
<br />
Add to your believing deeds that prove it true,<br />
Knowing Christ as Savior, make Him Master, too.<br />
Follow in His footsteps, go where He has trod;<br />
In the world’s great trouble risk yourself for God.<br />
<br />
Let your heart be tender and your vision clear;<br />
See mankind as God sees, serve Him far and near.<br />
Let your heart be broken by a brother’s pain;<br />

He is a man of few words.. But yesterday was different.. He spoke about lot of things.. and hence this blog.<br />
<br />
He sounded devastated. The things that he's seeing everyday is breaking him. Me being in the comfort of my home, with food, shelter, and the luxuries of AC.. could hardly find a word to respond. I just listened. <br />
<br />
He said thousands of people are on the road. Walking to their hometown. He saw a young man... must be 25 years, walking and stopped to give him a ride.. He was on the way to UP from Delhi. By walk! He had no money, no phone. When asked if he ate anything, he said he had food a day ago. My brother had to drop him after about 20 kms, as he had to go in another direction. But his heart was broken for that man, and others he saw on the way. He said, not many stop to help. These people have no other choice but to walk home. Imagine walking with nothing to eat in this weather.<br />
<br />
My brother and his colleague drive to Greater Noida, in about 50 mins, which otherwise would take 2 hrs. There they do relief work for about 3000 people. People are in makeshift shelters. They get them food, masks, and other hygenic things necessary. Day in and day out they see people living in bare minimum.<br />
<br />
I asked him if he tested for convid. He said he must have got it many times by now, for he's constantly intouch with various people. He quoted dad, ' valzhvadhu sila vara kaalam', You live for few more weeks'. There is nothing to be afraid of. If you die, there will be no burial or friends or around not even a pastor, who probably is afraid of dying.. he joked. He wasn't sure, how long this would go on. If its for a month, then ok.. but after that? Since Covid is in Community phase now, and if things get worse, which they probably will, we have to get ready for mass burial.<br />
<br />
<br />
Eficor is working in Delhi with Wipro fund, in Musahar community of Bihar with Individual fund. He told me search for them and you'll find how terrible their living is. Just did a google search. Musahar infact means rat eaters. They are downtrodden and struggling for their livelihood. Covid in this mix, is going to be pretty rough. Eficor is also working in UP, some place he said. They have helped about a lakh peopl.. In another month, they may cover a total of 2 lakhs, but after that? He said, even in Eficor, they had very few people on the frontlines. Can't blame them. Can we? The need is much. the workers are few. May we not stop to do what we can. We ended the call with a heavy heart. <br />

We were talking about Covid spreading across... the delay in vaccine, the increasing spread, mutation of the virus, all sounded grim... and since we don't have a TV, my better half was constantly on the phone and updating us every 5 mins..<br />
Dad said, he always has a fortress around him, and he wont let anything come inside. I asked what? In other words he said, this is what is meant by 'switch off'.<br />
<br />
This was taught by a Nigerian missionary, Michael. He and his wife from Satangulam and Nagercoil, were professors in Palyamkotai College. They were friends of Patrick uncle too.. They started the Reunion fellowship there.<br />
<br />
While working there as professors, he had a burden to serve among the cannibals. They left their job and went as missionary to Nigeria. Being a muslim country, no christian missionaries were allowed inside the country. Just then the Educational minister there, looking at both of their education, told they can become DO there. Thus both of them started working and slowly all the teachers under him, accepted Christ.<br />
<br />
Then, with 7 of the teachers with him, he went to climb the mountains. He was wearing a thick coat, for it was very cold weather. On the way top, they stopped at night , in the morning he found no one. All the 7 had left. Should he also turn back? The cannibals were real!. He decided to press forward. he meets a bunch of them with sharp weapons. They surround him. He kneels down and shuts his eyes and prays. After sometime, he opens his eyes to see all of them prostrating down before him! They must have seen some vision? may be an angel? They take him to their leader.. They give him a rooster to be given to their tribe leader.. The Leader in turns gives a rooster to the missionary. They exchange the roosters! And he stays with them learning their language. In 3 months, he learns it! It is told their language has only 100 or so tones/words... he records, and learns it. He slowly starts teaching kids and the adults. He opens a school for them. The President of Nigeria comes to know of it, and even visits the place. Who wouldn't want to see the transformations among cannibals!<br />
<br />
The couple have a daughter, who finished her MBBS and continued as a doctor there. They both earned well, being DEOs, but as per the rule in Nigera, they were not allowed to take money out of the country. So they left it to their daughter.<br />
<br />
He had travelled in train with dad sometime back. That's when he taught this trick. The secret weapon. If someone is talking ill about you, you can just switch off your mind and do not let it process in your mind.. to find out more about it..who said it, or who heard it or what will they think about it. Dad said, he just prays and<b> hands over the issue to God,</b> and then <b>switches off </b>his mind. He is completely off, and never thinks or brings it up and even lets the person who brings it again, not to bother. That's the end of it! If you can't do anything about it, why munch on it?<br />
<br />
Knowing dad, I have seen him do this quite often! It has imbibed in me too... but now I know the name of the secret! haha!Nebeulahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17012982931385236452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1371575720587238587.post-33433421417470833432020-05-13T20:28:00.001-07:002020-05-20T00:57:54.054-07:00My fav verses today<div dir="ltr">

I was looking into the prayers, especially that of the intercessions by people in the Bible! I was surprised at my find! This is how we are to pray.. with the heart of God!<br>

<p dir="ltr">We are to stand against the devil. And he will flee. Say I stand against you in the name of Jesus.<br>
Be firm in faith.  1 Peter 5:9 விசுவாசத்தில் உறுதியாயிருந்து, அவனுக்கு எதிர்த்து நில்லுங்கள்; <br>
Be obedient to word of God. Be holy. God is most holy. He makes us Holy by his blood. <br>
Be careful to guard your heart against deceit. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Memorise 1 John 4:4<br>
Luke 10: 19</p>
<p dir="ltr">Wear the armor of God. Eph 6:12-18<br>
கடைசியாக, என் சகோதரரே, கர்த்தரிலும் அவருடைய சத்துவத்தின் வல்லமையிலும் பலப்படுங்கள்.  நீங்கள் பிசாசின் தந்திரங்களோடு <i><b>எதிர்த்து நிற்கத</b></i>் <b>திராணியுள்ளவர்களாகும்படி</b>, தேவனுடைய சர்வாயுதவர்க்கத்தையும் தரித்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.<br>
Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Don't be afraid. God's children should have no fear.  <br>
Devil is a liar, and the Father of all lies. </p>
<p dir="ltr">1. Pray in the name of Jesus. Mark 16: 17<br>
2. Pray in the blood of Jesus. Rev 12:11<br>
Devil flees when you mention it.<br>
3. Use the word of God.and shield of faith. Eph 6:17<br>
4. Pray in the Spirit. Isaiah 59:19<br>
Eph 6:18</p>
<p dir="ltr">Why are we to pray? Can't God do things by himself? Why he expects us?</p>
<p dir="ltr">God gave Adam dominion  over Earth. Adam lost and gave it to the devil. He says so in Luke 4:5-6. It's been given to him. He's the prince of this world. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Imagine you come home from work and find a hut inside your compound wall/fence, where some one don't know has put it up and staying and refuses to go. Will you go to the police station and give a complaint to have him removed. Only then the police can come to take them away. That's how it works. Devil has dominian here. Our prayer is the petition that needs to be given for the police to act.</p>
